Rebecca is a clinical psychologist and approved supervisor registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Rebecca provides therapy to adolescents and adults presenting with a range of different concerns, including difficulties with mood, anxiety, trauma, loss and grief, adjustment and interpersonal/relationship problems. She also works with parents and caregivers around attachment-related difficulties and other concerns regarding their children. In addition to providing treatment for mental health difficulties, Rebecca also works with individuals seeking to engage in therapy for personal growth, supporting them to develop greater self-awareness and insight that can help enrich their lives and improve relationships with others.
Rebecca has experience working with children, adolescents and adults, as well as with parents and families. She has worked across public and private sectors, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with previous positions held at Royal Perth Hospital State Trauma Unit and PMH Eating Disorders Program. She has also lived and worked rurally in the Kimberley region as an employee of WA Country Health Service. Alongside private practice, Rebecca has had extensive experience working for the Department of Health, providing services to children and adolescents with severe and complex mental health difficulties, and their families.
Rebecca prefers a psychodynamic orientation to therapy, though has a diverse range of clinical skills. Based on the needs of the individual, she draws on other approaches as required, including mentalisation based therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and systemic family therapy. Rebecca is also a trained facilitator of the Circle of Security and Lighthouse MBT parenting programs and uses these approaches with caregivers.
